Job Duties:
Plan, direct, or coordinate, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Includes managers in specialized construction fields, such as carpentry or plumbing.
Manage overall project budgets and schedules to delivery fabrication project in accordance with customers expectations. Coordinate the architectural design, structural engineering, and modeling progress. Coordinate scope and design with the general contractor and adjacent subcontractors during design phase. Manage the overall process of achieving approval to fabricate from the general contractor/architect. Manage the internal model coordination process and ensure projects are coordinated timely and effectively. Management of all project team members (senior project engineer, project engineers, superintendents, and field office coordinator). Mentor, develop and train project engineers for fast-paced growth. 100% detailed/hands-on knowledge of project scope. Cost control/billings/collections/change management/cash flows/monthly status reports. Key point of contact with owner and architect. Challenge and support jobsite and self-perform work team. Accountable for project completion and financials, critical success factors, and customer satisfaction results. Coordinate and manage the execution of planning and scheduling of projects.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a construction project management-related occupation.
Special Requirements:
Position requires at least two (2) years of experience in each of the following skills:
Utilize knowledge of project management skills to develop and monitor project schedule/budgets, optimize resource allocation and adhere to budgetary constraints to meet client expectations. Utilize knowledge of façade products (window, door, curtain wall) fabrication and installation to facilitate project design, engineering and resolve construction issues. Utilize knowledge of building envelop systems to supervise site installation, manage material procurement/delivery and provide technical support. Utilize knowledge of Quality Control and Statistics to lead field service and tests, including site investigations, data collections, troubleshooting solutions and reporting. Utilize knowledge of financial management to handle billings, cash flows, change management, and financial reports. Utilize knowledge of façade manufacturing process to enhance operational procedures, improve fabrication efficiency and reduce material waste. Utilize knowledge of product development to manage product development schedule, oversee product certification, laboratory testing and maintain quality assurance compliance. Utilize knowledge of mechanical engineering to optimize fabrication daily operations, enforce quality standards and implement corrective actions. Utilize knowledge of training development to develop and implement engineering focused training programs across departments, including SOP, calculation tools and fabrication process. Utilize knowledge of SolidWorks modeling and 3D printing to introduce new methods in prototype production for new product promotion.
