Project managers have accountability and authority for achieving a project’s objectives. They direct a multidisciplinary team to complete a project. This position will be in NPD focused on managing the project’s resources, budgets, and project timelines. The role demands proven project management skills. He/She needs to frequently interface with cross functional divisional counterparts and stakeholders and a vendor base located globally. Another aspect of this role is leading process improvement and other initiatives.
Technical Responsibilities:
Lead the team in the development of the project charter and management plan. Direct, manage, monitor, and control the project. Evaluate tradeoffs within the project.
Meet with project stakeholders to understand and refine project scope, review with manager for approval. Create a detailed Work Breakdown Structure.
Develop and manage the detailed project Gantt chart. Analyze critical paths and major workstreams.
Collaborate with supervisor and/or project PM to establish sub-project budget. Monitor and maintain costs within budget.
Partner with project team to create project Quality Plans using 1-2 quality planning tools and techniques. Monitor and maintain plans.
Develop a risk management plan for the project. Identify, analyze and understand project risks, develop and monitor a risk response plan.
Contribute in the development of a Procurement Management Plan and collaborate on the selection of procurement partners
Estimate, acquire and assign project team resources. Define the role, responsibility, and deliverables for each team member. Provide direct feedback to functional manager on performance reviews.
Develop a Stakeholder management plan for the project, based on the identification, analysis and understanding of Stakeholder expectations.
Develop and execute the communications management plan for project team and the needs of key stakeholders
Additional role-specific technical areas of responsibilities may be added as deemed necessary.

(Must have):
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS- BS/BE/B.Tech/ME/M. Tech in any Technical Engineering, preferably.
10+ years of work experience, with a minimum 5+ years of project management experience from mechanical background
New product development experience.
Preferred- PMP or equivalent
Should be ready to travel to divisions as required. Travel – up to 25%.
