Position Summary
The Manager, Program Management role serves as an entry-level PM who operates under the matrix leadership and supervision of a Program Management Lead (or GPT PM).
They are assigned at the project level (asset indication) to deliver integrated cross-functional planning, oversee execution and administrate the PM sub-team(s) independently or in partnership with a more senior PM.
Duties/Responsibilities
They maintain project plans in the ePlan enterprise tool for each assigned project. Management of ePlan projects includes and is not limited to:
Maintaining the latest development strategy
Ensuring all metadata is accurate and up to date.
Generating project level scenario plans.
Managing resource forecast drivers.
Creation of high-level timelines via approved tools and standards.
Maintaining ePlan data quality at or above defined standards.
Maintain a separate detailed project plan and timelines in Microsoft Project or Planner (system selection and standards pending) for the current stage of development or upcoming stage of development. Ensuring clear visibility and management of the networked critical path. Timing from this plan should inform updates to ePlan.
Administrates the PM sub-team individually or in partnership with a more senior PM. Participates in GPT sub-team meetings as the direction of the Program Management Lead ensuring strategic alignment and rigorous execution per governance approved timing and budget.
Leads or partners with a more senior PM to deliver risk management processes. Develops and monitors mitigation plans for high probability high impact risks.
Supports the Program Management Lead in preparation for governance including generation of development timelines, alternative scenarios, budget and resource requirements.
Oversee the budget and resource health for each assigned project and escalate any issues / concerns.
Serve as a delegate or deputy for the GPT Program Management Lead if requested.
Change agent for continuous improvement and transformational initiatives within the PM function.
Qualifications
BS degree in a scientific discipline in combination with 3-5 years of drug development experience is required. PMP® certification is preferred.
Some experience and understanding for drug development processes ranging from IND/CTA submission to submission for marketing authorization.
Growing leadership soft skills, able to speak up within a team of subject matter experts and influence without authority.
Experience and strong aptitude for commonly used project management tools including but not limited to Planisware, Microsoft project, or Microsoft Planner.
Able to prepare meeting agendas and succinctly summarize meeting outcomes and project details leveraging AI tools.
Competent in core project planning and control methods and is able to understand and communicate critical path and development scenarios.
Familiarity with standard PM Risk Management practices and methodologies.
Able to drive execution while monitoring time, resource and budget.

Compensation Overview:
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
