The ideal candidate has practical experience with R (Posit/RStudio) and exposure to NONMEM/PsN, with solid foundational programming and problem-solving skills.
You will be collaborating closely with PK/PD modelers, statisticians, and bioinformaticians to ensure reliable, scalable, and well-documented workflows that accelerate drug discovery and development.

What will you do

  • Get exposed to troubleshooting and maintenance of pipelines and workflows supporting PK/PD modeling and bioinformatics analyses.
  • Assist with running and supporting population modeling workflows using NONMEM and PsN, including basic model execution, monitoring, and routine post-processing.
  • Help build and maintain R-based analytical environments (Posit/RStudio Server/Workbench, Connect, Package Manager), including package/library management and environment setup.
  • Use R (and basic Python) to create scripts for data processing, automation, and visualization
  • Support integration of Jupyter notebooks and RStudio/Posit for exploratory analysis and reproducible reporting.
  • Participate in HPC job submission and monitoring (e.g., Slurm), learn to optimize runs under mentorship, and assist with containerized workflows as needed.
  • Troubleshoot common software, environment, and data issues; provide user support, onboarding, and documentation of standard procedures.
  • Follow established best practices for version control, reproducible environments, and data provenance; contribute to improving documentation and SOPs.
  • Stay current with relevant tools and practices in PK/PD, R/Python ecosystems, and scientific computing; proactively develop skills in agreed growth areas.

  • Exposure to PK/PD or pharmacometrics workflows and tooling (e.g., NONMEM, PsN) and eagerness to deepen expertise
  • Comfort using Linux-based systems and command-line tools at admin level
  • Basic experience with version control (Git) and reproducible environments (e.g., renv or similar)
  • Familiarity with job schedulers (e.g., Slurm/PBS) or willingness to learn HPC job submission and monitoring
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to document and share learnings
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills; customer-oriented approach to user support

Nice to have

  • Experience administering Posit/RStudio environments (Workbench/Server, Connect, Package Manager) and managing R package repositories
  • Practical experience with NONMEM diagnostics and workflow automation (e.g., PsN pipelines, VPCs, bootstraps)
  • Experience with Jupyter notebooks, Quarto/R Markdown, Shiny dashboards, or reporting automation
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Singularity/Apptainer) for modeling workflows
  • Exposure to workflow management tools (Nextflow, Airflow) and basic data engineering
  • Knowledge of pharmacometrics practices and complementary tools (Monolix)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) for scalable compute and storage; interest in infrastructure-as-code
  • Basic understanding of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and data versioning tools
