Are you a Mechanical Engineer looking to join a team of innovators and executors who specialize in partnering with the world’s top neuro and spine surgeons to develop procedural solutions?

Our global team is looking for a design engineer who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what is possible by collaborating across the globe with other world class engineers and our customers to deliver new products that Make Health Care Better.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and own the mechanical design of products used in Spinal and Cranial procedures. 

What you will do:

  • Design and launch innovative new medical devices
  • You will be a part of a cross functional global team focused on developing and designing new technologies within our high-speed drill portfolio.  Our team’s mission is wow our customer and help them treat debilitating deceases.  
  • Your journey will start by collaborating closely with world leading neuro and spine surgeons to uncovered unmet user needs and how to drive improved surgical outcomes.
  • As a design engineer, you will be tasked with designing and implementing robust and innovative solutions that help our customers access and see critical anatomical structures in the spine and skull.
  • Be the technical lead for a multifunctional project team
  • Liaise with surgeons to define user needs and ensure the product meets and exceeds expectations
  • Mentor and guide more junior team members, modelling high standards of professionalism in all interactions

What you need:

  • Must have a minimum of a Degree (level 8) in a suitable subject (e.g. Engineering) or equivalent design background.
  • 4+ years of experience in mechanical, tool design or mechatronics engineering
  • Experience in mechanism design
  • NPD project delivery
  • Strong delivery focus
  • Understanding of various materials and mechanical processes
  • An infectious enthusiasm for new technologies and their application
  • Travel will be required for the role (International & EU)
