Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Data Product Integrity Specialist


In this role, you will:

  • Act as a data steward; lead or participate in moderately complex data integrity and quality initiatives and reviews of business systems; contribute to large-scale planning related to data quality improvement and business systems

  • Review and analyze moderately complex data quality audits; research and resolve data quality issues which require an in-depth evaluation of systems, data sets, and data connections

  • Independently resolve moderately complex data quality issues and lead team to meet data quality-related deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of data quality standards and control framework; escalate and remediate moderately complex data quality issues

  • Collaborate and consult with business, risk partners, and technical staff, including Enterprise Data Management and Technology functions, to lead, triage, and resolve data quality issue; serve as a mentor for lower-level staff

  • Ensure compliance with Enterprise Data Management policies, standards, and technology, and facilitate execution of business data standards and control frameworks

  • Understand the complete data lifecycle from data creation and capture to data processing, storage, and usage

  • Identify and track end-to-end data lineage using traditional methods and systemic tools

  • Actively engage in identifying and recommending solutions to improve data and implement data quality improvement plans

  • Define the approach to monitoring data quality to maximize efficiency and minimize risk


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of data quality or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting or Engineering with Data Science or higher in business administration, Project management certification will be preferred

  • Knowledge and understanding of Data warehouse, database querying using SQL or similar querying methods.

  • Experience in Project management related to Data sourcing, establishing Data integrity controls and Data analysis to enhance quality.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office skills, writing Structured Query Language (MS_SQL) and basic knowledge in Python and Power Bi, Understand tools like ChatGPT and DALL·E

  • Learn how to use prompts to generate ideas, text, and visuals and Explore use cases in everyday work, Introduction to tools like Microsoft Copilot and GitHub Copilot, with knowledge on how these models process language and support productivity following ethical AI practices

  • Experience in working as part of highly agile transformation/change management teams.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry, with emphasis on Capital Market products, COSO framework, Regulatory Reporting

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills as projects involve interaction with Senior leadership groups

  • Ability to train and guide team members and manage transformation initiatives to optimize operational effectiveness and efficiencies.

Job Expectations:

  • Looking for actual LOB experience and SOR knowledge, esp deposits, consumer, trading products as we are heavy on commercial.

  • Business Analytics

  • Ability to review any data output, dashboards / reports and understand data trends and results.

  • Understand how product nuances will impact results across our reporting and data processing.

  • Such as certain fields will be populated like CLTV for Home Lending but would not see that for credit cards.

  • Assess data and take appropriate steps per our processes to resolve data issues.

  • Ability to identify issues, even if existing reports and dashboards are not fully identifying these

  • Deep understanding of data governance policies, standards, and control frameworks.

  • Ability to design, maintain, and implement data quality rules, audits, and remediation plans.

  • Proficiency in managing end-to-end data lifecycle (creation, processing, adjustments, storage, usage).  

  • Data Lineage & Metadata Management

  • Expertise in tracking, leveraging, and documenting data lineage using systemic tools.

  • Ability to assess, use and improve metadata quality across systems.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Advanced capability to review and analyze complex, multi-faceted data integrity issues.

  • Strong analytical thinking to identify patterns, trends, and root causes of defects.

  • Ability to get into most database models and fully understand how data flows and our controls work with this data and the model.

  • Audit Support / Evidence collection / Automation

  • Ability if a control owner to speak in front of audit groups as the SME of that control or process.

  • Strong execution and ownership of evidence supporting employees’ execution of controls and processes.

  • Challenge poorly developed processes, look for automation opportunities.

  • Do not continue to execute poor processes without understanding why and if improvements can be introduced and prioritized.

  • Technical Skills

  • As a P3, all these analysts should be 100% proficient with SQL. Ability to navigate Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, Dremio, T-SQL, ANSI-SQL, etc…

  • Ability to leverage AI tools to expand both technical and business skills and knowledge, enhance coding skills.

  • They should have other strong concepts of data modeling, data quality, defect, control frameworks.

  • Analysts should understand how to target large data, breakdown and analyze accordingly for defects and other resolution efforts.
