Job Description:

The Practice:

At Highlands Family Medicine, we see family medicine as the most diverse medical practice. Our practice consists of 1 physician and 4 advanced practice providers. We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our established clinic. We offer so much more than just a place to go for routine health concerns. Family medicine is the first stop to a healthier life.

Our practice is a member of the independent practice association (IPA), PHPprime. PHPprime provides wrap-around services to help make our practice successful, including care coordination, practice transformation coaching, risk adjustment coding education, population health management, data and analytics, specialist network management, and large group contracting.

The Position:

  • Performs a comprehensive patient health assessment, including health history, physical exams and preventive screening.
  • On average 16 patients per day
  • Orders, administers and analyzes diagnostic tests.
  • Performs family practice procedures.
  • Establishes systematic follow-up for evaluation of the plan of care and reassesses and modifies the plan, as necessary, including initiation of referrals and consultation with physicians and other health care providers as appropriate.
  • Maintains accurate, legible and confidential records.
  • Trains patients and families on managing illnesses or injuries and disease prevention.
  • Develops and maintains a good working relationship with the healthcare team.

Qualifications (Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities):

  • Graduated from an ARC – PA accredited PA program
  • Experience with adult medicine
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills

Job Schedule: Full Time

Salary: $110-120k
