Job Description:

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward.

We're looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that's you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.

About the Role:

Remitly Global Card is expanding its reach by acquiring new-to-Remitly users, and we're looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead acquisitions strategy for this growing product. In this role, you will define the customer segments most likely to adopt Global Card within Remitly's traditional target demographics, uncover their pain points, and shape the products and features that address them. You'll partner closely with marketing to drive user growth and work cross-functionally to raise the bar on customer experience from first touch through activation.

You'll extensively leverage AI tools to accelerate every stage of execution, from research and experimentation to shipping. This is an opportunity to shape how Remitly acquires new users through a new product line, with direct ownership over strategy, positioning, go-to-market execution, and accountability for user growth results. You will work in a hybrid capacity from our Arlington, VA office.

You Will:

  • Define and prioritize an acquisitions roadmap for Remitly Global Card, aligning customer segmentation and growth strategy with company goals, and own the P&L accountability for new user growth results.

  • Identify and validate the pain points of prospective new-to-Remitly customers within the segments Remitly has traditionally marketed to, using qualitative research, data analysis, and market insight

  • Build products and features that address these pain points, partnering with engineering and design to ship iteratively and validate impact.

  • Partner with marketing to design and execute acquisition campaigns and funnels that drive sustainable user growth.

  • Own end-to-end customer experience across the acquisition journey, from awareness through activation, continuously identifying opportunities to reduce friction and build trust.

  • Define success metrics and instrumentation, partnering with analytics to build the dashboards and experimentation framework needed to make fast, confident decisions, and report progress against growth targets to senior leadership.

  • Champion the adoption of AI in the product management craft across the organization, modeling how AI tools accelerate research, experimentation, and shipping, and mentoring other PMs to build AI-first habits into their own workflows.

  • Communicate strategy, trade-offs, and results clearly to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership, building alignment behind the acquisitions roadmap.

You Have:

  • An AI-first mindset — you actively use AI tools in your day-to-day workflow to move faster, and you're excited to explore where AI can create differentiated acquisition experiences within Global Card.

  • A track record of building impactful consumer products, including programs that drove strong customer acquisition and retention.

  • Experience defining and validating customer segments, using qualitative and quantitative research to uncover pain points and translate them into product strategy.

  • Expertise partnering with marketing and growth teams to drive user acquisition, including experience with funnels, campaigns, or growth loops.

  • Subject matter expertise in the debit card/payments landscape and a strong point of view on what drives customer trust and engagement.

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, comfortable defining metrics and using experimentation to guide decisions.

  • End-to-end product ownership skills, from customer discovery through go-to-market execution, with demonstrated ability to operate with autonomy on ambiguous, cross-functional problems.

  • 10+ years of product management experience, specifically in consumer fintech, payments, or card products.
