Transforms disparate data from payers into meaningful and actionable information to support decision making by the Physician Hospital Organization (PHO). Recommends actions based on concurrent and retrospective analysis. Develops, compiles, analyzes, and distributes information throughout the PHO and maintains various payer databases.

Applies knowledge and skills of the information systems life cycle to the department Conducts systems analysis for department.

Requirements:

- High school diploma/GED or higher education

- Bachelors degree preferred

- Must live in the State of Michigan

  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement.
  • Assists in selection of technologies for department.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, modifies, implements, evaluates and/or maintains information structures and technologies for organizing, storing, editing, retrieving and analyzing data that support organizational goals.
  • Conducts tests/ QA of new technologies and/or system enhancements.
  • Participates in educating users in new technology.
  • Conducts ongoing evaluation and auditing of information technologies' performance and impact on the care of patients, accuracy of documentation, and/or operation of the department.
  • Participates in efforts to continuously upgrade the quality and effectiveness of existing technology.
  • Contributes to the development of policies and procedures related to information systems implementations
  • Ability to assess and report on healthcare cost, utilization, and quality metrics, providing insights across a wide range of programs

  • Effectively creates, maintains and manages work plans for assigned projects.

  • Actively seeks new opportunities to enhance the efficiency of information sharing, distribution, and analysis.

  • Fluent in terminology related to Information systems of the department.

  • Forges sustaining customer relationships necessary to manage expectations and outcomes. Maintains privacy, confidentiality and security of patient/client data.
  • Protects patient and client data from unauthorized use. Seeks available resources to help formulate ethical decisions.

-Bachelor's degree (preferably in business related or healthcare related field) required
-Experience with data collection, manipulation, and analysis required
-Strong information systems experience and demonstrated skills with emphasis on data analysis required
-Experience with insurance-based incentive programs for physicians preferred
-Experience with data analysis using Microsoft Access and Excel or with another relational database required
-Attention to detail with excellent follow-through required
