Do you work on the Security and Operating Systems foundations of the next generation cars? You will be part of the software team working on the products that will power the autonomous cars of tomorrow. You will learn about embedded software programming as part of our projects on security, device drivers and operating systems, interact with leading global experts for automotive technologies and get familiar with quality standards and models required in the automotive industry.

Hardware Solutions being a one stop key provider of hardware development tools in NXP, which has been supporting both the design and manufacture process. Our integrated hardware development solutions for embedded microprocessors have been widely adopted by customers worldwide. NXP extends to support the New Production Introduction (NPI), system design, hardware manufacturing & system integration.

We now offer the technical position of PCB CAD Librarian for NXP’s Hardware Solutions Group, responsible for defining standardized Way of Working creating schematic symbols and footprint, used across the Design global Group for various projects in scope of NXP Technology.

Your Responsabilities:

  • Part creation - schematic symbols, footprints, geometry,
  • Working with CAD library management – PDM, part request system - NXP Component Library (NCL)
  • Must work according to IPC standards, manufacturing process, internal regulations and training requirements.
  • Must follow mechanical drawing, geometry, projections and dimensioning.
  • Participate in peer reviews of CAD library
  • Maintain in relation with components lifecycle and International agreements ROHS, Reach.
  • Engage with IC packaging team to optimize package pinouts for performance, routability, and cost.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronics, product & industrial design, or related filed.
  • Able to read and understand 2D, 3D mechanical drawings.
  • Basic technical working knowledge, understanding vendor specification, mathematical calculations.
  • Experience with Cadence, Allegro PCB Librarian, OrCAD or similar tool
  • Experience designing high-layer count (>12) PCBs with multi-lamination construction is desired.
  • Experience with creating symbols and library parts using library tools.
  • Understand PCB and PCBA manufacturing process and quality requirement. Understand DFx process.
  • Experience with IPC standards as relate to PCB design, fabrication and assembly.
  • Solid understanding of electronics components are required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skill.

Contract: This is a fulltime position with a permanent contract
