The Legal Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing operational and business related legal affairs of the Mexican affiliate. This role ensures that organization's operations are conducted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while minimizing legal risks and pursuing opportunities of improvement. The Legal Manager will provide legal counseling and support to senior management, business units, functional departments, manage external counsels and will ensure that the legal department activities are fully aligned with the Company strategy.
Your Opportunity
The responsibilities for this role include:
Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, labor, regulatory, intellectual property and data privacy matters
Draft, review and negotiation of a wide range of contracts and agreements with vendors and distributors
Identity legal risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies
Support business and functional teams with legal input on transactions, partnerships, and strategic initiatives
Ensure company policies and practices comply with local laws
Represent company's interests in legal proceedings and liaise with external counsels as needed
Oversee corporate governance and maintain legal documentation
Who you are
Law Degree (specialization studies are a plus)
3-5 years of experience as a Senior Legal Counsel or Legal Manager in the pharmaceutical industry, with strong business acumen and ability to balance legal and commercial considerations.
Solid expertise in corporate housekeeping matters, employment law, contract drafting and negotiation, intellectual property, data privacy and contract management
Advanced English proficiency is required (drafting, negotiation, and communications skills in English language are part of this role)
Proven self-management ability and capable of managing multiple priorities
High sense of accountability and high ethical standards
Strong communication skills (oral and writing), proactiveness and curiosity
