Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Compliance Manager to oversee and enhance compliance and Internal Control across End-to-End processes which include Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Travel & Expense (T&E) processes.  This role will ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and global finance standards, while driving continuous improvement in financial operations and controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor across End-to-End processes including P2P and T&E processes, identifying non-compliant activities and implementing corrective actions.
  • Supervise timely and accurate execution of financial accounting, including both statutory reporting and US GAAP.
  • Provide financial and business support to local teams and the JAPAC Hub.
  • Represent country-specific finance issues in JAPAC-wide discussions and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and local financial policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal and external advisors to resolve fiscal and regulatory issues.
  • Advise senior finance leadership and business stakeholders on financial and compliance matters.
  • Oversee quality control and process monitoring for finance operations.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and timely response to audit requirements.
  • Maintain daily operations in accounting and tax, including journal entry reviews, inventory analysis, transfer pricing, and consumption tax compliance as needed.
  • Review and improve accounting and tax processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 5~7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or compliance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of End-to-End processes, internal controls, and financial regulations.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to learn quickly, being open and flexible to changes, in a multinational environment
  • Working knowledge of IT system (including demonstrated capability of SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Thrive in ambiguous situations and team environment, and adapt to work in a start-up, evolving environment and dynamic organization
  • Fluent in English and Japanese both in oral and written communication

Preferred Requirements

  • CPA or equivalent certification
  • Experience in an international finance department
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical Industry preferred but not a must
  • FP&A experience preferred but not a must
