Job Description :

Job Purpose

  • Primary responsibilities of the Registered Dietitian include application of the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) including completion of the nutrition assessment, identification of the nutrition diagnosis, developing and implementing nutrition intervention(s), and monitoring and evaluating of the patient’s progress.
  • The Registered Dietitian establishes and maintains effective multidisciplinary relationships with the healthcare team to provide care that is integrated, and patient focused.
  • Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.

Job Requirements:

Education:

   

Undergraduate degree meeting academic requirements and successful completion of an accredited Dietetic Internship program or Coordinated Undergraduate Program in Dietetics; Master’s Degree (required beginning 2024) and eligible to take the Commission on Dietetics Registration Exam (CDR)

Licenses and/or Certifications:

  • Current license as a Registered Dietician by the state of Texas
  • Registered Dietitian with the Commission of Dietetics Registration or eligible for registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
    • If registration eligible, must pass the dietetic registration within 6 months of hire. License with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) required after successful completion of Commission on Dietetics Registration Exam.

Work Experience:

  • Six months work experience preferred
