Job Description Summary:

Provides leadership, direction, and administration to all aspects of the clinic operations for West Tennessee Healthcare – Pulmonology Clinic except for those involving professional medical judgment. Reports directly to the Director of Specialty Care Services, and indirect (clinical) to the Medical Director.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and rules of accrediting bodies.
  • Continually monitor operations, programs, and physical properties and recommend appropriate changes.
  • Works under the supervision of the Director of Specialty Care Services in implementing the clinic's long-range plans for the facility.
  • Keeps management informed about trends, problems, and activities that impact clinic operations or policies.
  • Works with the Director of Specialty Care Services, relevant staff other departments prior to recommending or establishing new policies to ensure support and availability of resources.
  • Directs and supervises clinic activities thru meetings with clinical/ support staff (Huddles) on a regular basis to receive input, discuss opportunities, and present reports.
  • Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development to keep current with the trends in clinic administration, including patient flow, collections, and staff development training.
  • Resolves medical and administrative problems keeping communication open to ensure high employee morale in the clinic setting.                              
  • Coordinates with the Director of Specialty Care Services in an effective effort in recruitment, development, evaluation, and retention of quality Medical/ Support staff.
  • Utilization of guest excellence skills at all times and dealing with patient complaints according to current Department policies.
  • Monitor staff for exhibiting AIDET skills and provides feedback as needed.
  • Must have the ability to participate in the clinic's budget development and monitor upon implementation.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare related field preferred.

LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, AND CERTIFICATION:

  • N/A

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of experience in Management / Supervision in the Healthcare field preferred.
