Role Summary
- Support the Data Privacy Risk & Governance Legal function with legal review, strategy design and implementation, legal advice; etc.
- Communicate and liaise regularly with different internal and external stakeholders.
- Works mostly independently but must have good collaborative skills to work in group also.
- Has strong process management skills, process improvement and team handling responsibilities.
- Conduct research on regulatory requirements, internal process and related matters;
- Has a critical thinking, is pro-active, organized and consistent in its performance.
- Manage Strategic Projects and any ad-hoc assignment including but not limited to contract review, compliance audit and legal research;
- Liaise with outside counsel and internal stakeholders;
- Has a good management of different apps, dashboard and other collaborative tools.
- Perform regular presentations about the project updates to leadership.
Generic Responsibilities
- Understand process improvements in Compliance, Operations, Regulatory & Ethics (CORE) support area and assist team in drafting, designing and/or improving processes;
- Act as a PMO for projects.
- Demonstrate promptness, accuracy and consistency with the activities supported.
- Directly leasing with internal stakeholders on various legal issues and external stakeholders-
- Manage SharePoint and communication records and assist team members on the process by checklists and process documents
- Understand the Core areas and the surrounding issues and statutory regulation.
- Understand Accenture corporation and its different functions and Teams.
- Understand relevant company policies and its application to CORE support area;
- Understand company's functions in context of CORE support area and in particular Data Privacy Laws;
- Understand company's approval processes and ensures that all stakeholders are timely engaged and informed on the relevant process;
- Understand company’s business operations, regulatory environment and potential areas of risk in delivery;
- Support implementation of new initiatives in CORE support area or within Legal (in addition to allocated role);
- Build credibility and effective relationships internally within Legal team;
- Suggest and work towards introducing process measures for ad-hoc and new service lines;
- Develop training for team members on processes or regulation requirements;
- Assist in negotiation and to drive closure of contracts;
- Provide individuals with positive and developmental feedback, and support any specific Legal Services training initiatives
- Provide training or support to Legal Services specific training;
- Ensure excellence of output of CORE team members through guidance and review support (e.g. conducting effective QA of other team members' deliverable);
- Support implementation of new initiatives in CORE support area or within Legal Services (in addition to allocated role);
- Provide coaching and mentoring of Legal Services personnel; and
- Supervise Level 9 or below (as required).
Specific Responsibilities aligned to Role
- Manage V&A Due diligence activities, policy administration.
- Provide Data Privacy SME support for Marketing activities (Cookie Guidance and website advertising).
- Assist in developing processes to implement different data privacy laws that come into enforcement such as GDPR,
- Run different Data Privacy assessments such as Local Country Risk Assessment to ensure compliance of data privacy programs.
- Coordinate with different stakeholders to understand and collect processes requirement. Advise on processes approaches.
- Draft internal support documents with Data Privacy laws advice.
- Review training materials.
- Assist in the process to acquire software to be used to comply with data privacy laws requirements (assessment tools)
- Serve as tier 2 support to inquiries hitting the Data Privacy mailbox.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Understands regulatory principles governing Data Protection at global level.
- IAPP certifications such as CIPP/E or similar (desired)
- Understands process flows and metrics
- Understand corporate business practices and contracting regulations.
- Effectively manage stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Good understanding of contractual principles required to draft, review, assist in negotiation for contractual arrangements;
- Understand relevant company policies and exercises reasonable judgment to apply company policy and procedure in risk mitigation and timely escalates to line manager with issues
- Understand company's interests while communicating with executives at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrate understanding of company's approval processes and ensures that all stakeholders are timely engaged and informed on the relevant process
- Understand negotiation skills
- Strong time management, prioritization and analytical skills;
- Fluent in English with strong oral and written skills and competent in delivering presentations
- Efficient in conducting legal research
- Display high level of responsiveness and follows through on commitments;
- Detail-oriented, organized, flexible and focused at all times; and
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Word skills.
