Job Summary:
The Sales Support Specialist assists clients through each step of the sales process, helping them resolve any concerns or questions they may have while processing, tracking, and shipping orders efficiently. They also identify and create lists of potential clients while maintaining databases of sales. The Specialist is responsible for troubleshooting customer issues, providing data and guidance to the sales team, managing sales tracking tools, and analyzing sales trends. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of sales support processes.
Responsibilities:
Sales Support
• Provide administrative support to sales team
• Assist in creating and maintaining sales materials
• Coordinate sales meetings and manage calendars
Customer Service
• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns
• Process orders and track shipments
• Handle customer complaints and escalate to appropriate parties
Data Management
• Organize and maintain customer database
• Generate and analyze sales reports
• Keep track of inventory and sales numbers
Marketing Support
• Assist in creating and distributing marketing materials
• Coordinate and attend trade shows and events
• Conduct market research and gather competitor information
Training and Development
• Train new sales team members on processes and procedures
• Continuously update and improve training materials
• Provide ongoing support and guidance for sales team
Collaboration
• Work closely with sales team to achieve company goals
• Communicate and collaborate with other departments
• Participate in team meetings and provide input and ideas
Problem Solving
• Identify and troubleshoot issues for customers and sales team
• Find solutions to improve sales processes and efficiency
• Assist in resolving conflicts and handling difficult situations
Organization
• Keep track of deadlines and prioritize tasks
• Maintain and update sales documents and records
• Ensure all necessary materials are readily available for sales team
Continuous Learning
• Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge
• Attend training and development opportunities
• Continuously improve skills and knowledge to better support sales team.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, or related field with at least 5 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
• Strong technical skills with proficiency in sales tools and software (e.g., SalesForce, CRM systems).
• Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies and plans.
• Knowledge of experimental design and statistical analysis techniques.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders.
