JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary communication link between the plant, corporate teams, and external stakeholders.

  • Facilitate customer and vendor interactions, including visit preparation, presentations, and follow-up actions.

  • Prepare, distribute, and track key communications, updates, and action items related to plant operations and initiatives.

  • Support plant startup, launch readiness, and production ramp-up activities.

  • Coordinate cross-functional meetings, plant reviews, customer visits, and audits.

  • Track open issues, risks, and countermeasures, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.

  • Ensure customer requirements, standards, and expectations are clearly communicated to plant teams.

  • Assist with supplier coordination for materials, services, and operational needs.

  • Develop reports, dashboards, and summaries on plant performance, launch milestones, and key initiatives.

  • Maintain organized documentation for communications, compliance, and operational records.

  • Support leadership with scheduling, planning, and coordination of strategic activities.

  • Ensure plant operations comply with Adient policies, procedures, and automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO, and customer-specific requirements).

  • Support corrective actions related to audits, quality issues, or operational gaps.

  • Promote structured problem-solving and clear escalation paths across teams.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, operations, project coordination, or plant support roles.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Experience in automotive plant startups, launches, or ramp-up environments.

  • Familiarity with OEM customer interactions and supplier coordination.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, problem-solving methodologies (8D, A3), and quality systems.

  • Experience working in unionized or non-unionized manufacturing environments.
