Position Summary

This position is full-time in the Department of Psychiatry in the Studies of Early Anxiety Lab on the Medical School Campus. Some evening and Saturday availability is required for this position. Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Recruits, screens, consents, and schedules participants for study.  This involves sending letters and emails describing the study to potential participants, enrolling participants and reviewing consent forms with them, scheduling appointments for tests and interviews, calling participants to remind them of their appointments, etc.
• Learns to administer eye tracking, EEG, fMRI, and behavioral appointments in accordance with study guidelines.
• Administrative tasks include organizing and managing participant databases, data entry, tracking and ordering supplies, etc.
• Maintains proper documentation and record keeping including modifications to study procedures and creating protocols (detailed plans for study procedures) to be reviewed and approved by the institutional review board (IRB).
• May receive training from Professional Rater II, Professional Rater III or others based on organizational structure.

Working Conditions

• Some evening and Saturday availability is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to listen to and communicate with participants from a variety of backgrounds and to work with children of all ages and their parents.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are needed for interacting with participants and for maintaining study protocols and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

Salary Range

$17.34 - $25.40 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
