The Global Indirect Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and executing global category strategies across key indirect spend areas including IT, Facilities, Professional Services and other enterprise support functions.  This role drives cost optimization, supplier innovation, and risk management while partnering with cross functional stakeholders to deliver measurable business value.  The position combines strategic thinking, supplier relationship management, and data-driven decision-making to optimize total cost of ownership and support organizational growth.

This position reports to the Director, Global Logistics and Sourcing and is part of the Global Operations - Supply Chain – Global Sourcing team based in Shanghai, China and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and implement global category strategies and sourcing roadmaps for assigned indirect spend areas
  • Lead cross-regional sourcing initiatives, leveraging global scale to drive cost optimization and value creation.
  • Analyze spend data, market trends, and supplier capabilities to identify cost savings and value creation opportunities
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing events (RFP/RFQ), including supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting
  • Own supplier relationship management (SRM), including performance governance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead contract negotiation and lifecycle management, ensuring compliance, favorable commercial terms and risk mitigation.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, IT, HR, Operations, Legal, Sales and Service) to align sourcing strategies with business priorities
  • Identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers, including risk assessments and sustainability/ESG considerations.
  • Utilize digital tools (e.g., spend analytics, Power BI, ERP systems) to track savings, performance, and sourcing pipeline
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and governance frameworks.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Manufacturing operations and or related fields
  • Multiple years of experience in procurement/sourcing, with strong exposure to indirect categories
  • Strong experience managing indirect categories such as IT, Facilities or professional services.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing & category management, supplier negotiations & contract management and delivering measurable cost savings result.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills in a global, cross-functional environment
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • High integrity with strong compliance and governance mindset

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

  • Ability to travel up to 30% regionally and globally as required.  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP
  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Exposure to e-sourcing platforms or digital procurement tools
