FacultyJob Duties Outlined: Care for patients in the inpatient and ambulatory setting who have had a cancer diagnoses and treatment with cardio-toxic chemotherapy drugs. Care for general cardiology patients or heart failure in the inpatient and ambulatory settings. Support call in a similar fashion as other cardiologists. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: MD, DO or foreign degree equivalent. ABIM Board Certified or Eligible for Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease. Completion of fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Cardio-oncology. Hold or be eligible for a license to practice medicine in the State of Kansas.
This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.
