This Position reports to:

R&D Department Lead


 

Your Role and Responsibilities

- Work model: Onsite

  • Organization & people development. Responsible for local resources for non-order related R&D activities. Responsible for staffing projects assigned to the team with competent people, making sure that the workload of the overall R&D team fits the assigned projects. Ensures appropriate competencies are developed and acquired within the team to support development of future products and systems.  Ensures (with HR support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect employees with the support of HR processes. Is responsible for the recruiting of resources.
  • Technology and competency build. Follow the defined competence direction for the team and responsible for building the technology and competency
  • Project staffing and execution. Assigns capable resources to projects and work packages to be executed in the team. Ensures timely and on-budget execution of projects and work packages, monitors progress and takes corrective actions if necessary.
  • PAMA Technology Center China leadership team. R&D Team managers are part of the PAMA Technology Center China leadership team. This team ensures proper and smooth cooperation among projects and teams, shares results, best practices, experiences with processes
  • Quality, Processes and tools. Ensures the implementation of learnings / findings from quality issues into the day-to-day processes on global and local levels. Ensures that global processes and tools are adopted in the Technology Center. Local interaction. Promotes active collaboration with the other units in Hangzhou, to ensure successful and smooth New Product Introduction (NPI) processes. Innovation & creativity. Ensures and fosters own organization and employees to gain the ability to challenge status quo in technical issues, projects and processes, and translates this into dedicated actions.

  • Strong team management / people management
  • Strong projects management
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the main technology areas of manufacturing technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of market requirements for instrumentation and automation business
  • Mature technology management skills. Process-oriented and continuous improvement mind-set. Intercultural communication skills, and strong soft-skills
