Software Engineer II – Full Stack (Front End Focus)

A Software Engineer II is an important member of the engineering team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality technology products and services that create a frictionless experience for customers while maintaining strong standards of protection and availability. This role works across the stack, from front-end user interfaces to back-end services, with a strong emphasis on modern front-end development and AI-augmented engineering practices. The ideal candidate is a solid individual contributor who can collaborate effectively, solve problems independently, and build scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Position Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer II, you will:
• Design, build, and support scalable, resilient applications and distributed systems
• Contribute to product and technical design discussions and help implement effective solutions
• Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the software development lifecycle
• Participate in design reviews and code reviews to help maintain engineering quality
• Build and support reusable application components and shared patterns from both business and technology perspectives
• Utilize modern front-end technologies such as React and Next.js, object-oriented programming languages, SQL/NoSQL databases, and container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Apply Human-AI Experience (HAX) guidelines and design patterns to help build intuitive, human-centered AI features
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools as part of day-to-day engineering workflows
• Use context engineering techniques and AI agents to improve development speed, software quality, and team productivity
• Contribute to raising the technical bar through solid engineering practices, including test-driven development, automated testing, and maintainable code
• Champion code quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across front-end components and back-end services
• Support production applications through monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance improvements

Qualifications
• Strong programming experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React and Next.js
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs in a microservices-oriented architecture
• Ability to contribute to the design and enhancement of new and existing systems
• Familiarity with Human-AI Experience (HAX) guidelines and AI-centric design patterns
• Experience using AI developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar
• Understanding of context engineering concepts and practical use of AI agents in day-to-day development
• Solid understanding of DevOps concepts and modern CI/CD practices
• Strong understanding of monitoring concepts and tooling
• Strong understanding of security principles and secure coding practices
• Experience with containers, orchestration, and distributed systems
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to contribute to architecture discussions, technical assessments, and solution proposals

Experience
• 2+ years of professional software development experience, including object-oriented design and modern front-end development
• 2+ years of experience with React, Next.js, or TypeScript
• 1+ years of experience contributing to system design and architecture discussions
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud platform
• Experience working with open-source frameworks and libraries


 

Annual Salary

$75,000.00 - $160,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
