What you will do:
The Global Program Manager will be part of the Global Strategic Accounts Operations Team and will be responsible for the strategic growth of each account assigned, leveraging strategic partnerships with the executive leadership of these clients based across the primary domain of Security and support across multiple domains (HVAC/Controls, Fire, & Digital.) The Global Program Manager will provide oversight and responsibility for management of the portfolio of projects executed and managed by Johnson Controls. They are responsible for providing regular project communications, both internally and externally, to the appropriate stakeholders so that assigned projects are delivered on time and within budget. The Global Program Manager should have a proven track record of overseeing a portfolio of successful projects, in-depth stakeholder management, and the development of client standards. The Global Program Manager is responsible for ensuring that all program managers, sales team members, leadership, and local field contacts understand the processes, strategic goals, and operational processes that have been developed for your assigned account.
In this role, you are the voice of direction to the domain on achieving the expected quality of delivery on all projects awarded to JCI. Both the Strategic Account Executive & GPgM will instruct the teams on the vision and strategy on how to succeed in meeting the growth numbers provided by leadership.
How you will do it:
Ensure teams and processes function effectively and efficiently in an operationally disciplined manner aligned to the Johnson Control’s Operations methodology
Understanding the client objectives and alignment of operational support activities to meet those objectives . Establishment of standards, policies and processes. Ensuring proper resource alignment with all individual Projects.
Facilitates communication with the client and Johnson Controls internal stakeholders. Regularly engages the client to maintain current pulse on client perceptions, needs, challenges and potential business opportunities.
Takes ownership for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Advocates for the client while maintaining ability to counsel client when program improvements require client-side modifications. Strives to achieve trusted advisor status with client.
Resolve challenges and address opportunities related to the portfolio
Track account progress, identify issues, and develop action plans
Adhere to the internal solution development process and hold team members accountable for deliverables
Manage issues, risks, and opportunities to ensure the program schedule is maintained
Prepare for and report on program status at regular reviews
Plan, strategize, and influence priorities and decisions to improve customer satisfaction
Continuously work with regional / in-country sales leaders to understand challenges, gaps, and opportunities for better alignment and customer support in service and installations.
Works closely with the Strategic Account Executive to support RFPs, address customer obligations and issues quickly and appropriately to ensure customer satisfaction and account health.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
PMP certification or other applicable Project Management certifications preferred
Minimum 4 years of experience managing programs/projects or working on a program team as a functional lead
Experience leading Regional or Global programs
Ability to drive consistency in complex operational delivery
Strong understanding of program management and customer support models for global accounts
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to operate successfully in a matrix organization
Ability to influence without authority and a strong business acumen
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with strong problem-solving capabilities
Exceptional strategic thinking and execution capability
Flexible, adaptable, and resourceful when managing changing timelines and multiple deliverables.
Proficiency in problem-solving processes and reporting tools, such as SmartSheet, Microsoft Projects, Microsoft Task by Planner and, including Microsoft PowerPoint
