Game Engine Developer

We are looking for an experienced C++ game engine developer to join our custom cross platform mobile game engine team. Our engine and toolchain is used by hundreds of developers inside of King and is used to deliver some of the biggest games in the world. Our team is looking to grow with experienced developers with good customer focused mindsets.

Your role within our Kingdom

Our engine team needs an experienced C++ engine developer to work on improving and maintaining our cross platform mobile engine, editor and tool chain. You will be responsible for developing and refining new and existing features on behalf of our dozens of live production game teams. 

You should have a keen understanding of the challenges faced by artists, coders and designers, and create the technology that helps them to continuously deliver their projects.

Skills to create thrills

• Experienced C++ developer
• Experience working on a game engine and supporting game developers
• Knowledgeable about programming and technology in general
• Happy to work in an agile development environment with team members
• Knows how to produce high quality, maintainable scalable code and systems
• Excellent communicator in English
• Passionate about games, even better if you’ve worked as a game developer before too
• Deliver high quality and well-structured code
• Experience in working with memory / performance critical applications
• Experience in Test Driven Development

Bonus skills

• Experience writing asset pipelines
• Experience with Python
• Experience with UI frameworks
• Experience with Test Automation Frameworks
