Job Summary

Demonstrate the value proposition of the Strategic Growth & Development department by anticipating strategic decisions and in partnership with resourcing key stakeholders with actionable intelligence. Actively participate in Senn Delaney "At Our Best" culture transformation work. Promote a standard approach to the strategic planning process including adhering to a common set of definitions around planning terminology and language. Exhibit behaviors characteristic of a servant leader in working with key stakeholders.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitate the strategic planning process for assigned Clinical Service Lines (CSLs) and business units. In partnership with business owners, develop comprehensive strategic plans.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in the assigned areas from a clinical, structural, financial, regulatory, and operational perspective Lead the development of a customized baseline analysis that will inform the strategic planning process for each business unit as well as support on-going planning activities.
  • Utilizing the baseline analysis as a foundation, facilitate the development of a long-range strategic plan for each business unit that is in alignment with the System Strategic Plan and the Delivery System Strategic Plan. In partnership with business leaders, prepare polished strategic plan document(s) and accompanying presentation(s) for review and approval of executive leaders for each stage of the approval process.
  • Engage functional units (i.e. human resource, finance, process improvement, information services, risk / compliance, etc.) at appropriate juncture throughout the planning process to ensure necessary resources are available to support strategy execution.
  • Coordinate and support the development of 12–18-month operational plans that cascades from long range strategic plan:
  • Facilitate tactical planning and SMART goal development for each strategic initiative.
  • In partnership with business owners, prepare operational planning documents and support successful execution through individual accountability.
  • Support performance management by facilitating the regular input of analytics and intelligence informing progress on SMART goals.
  • Support and facilitate the development of business cases for strategic capital requests and the development of new programs.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field
  • 7 years of relevant experience in a similar or related experience (or equivalent education and experience)

Preferred

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in related field
  • Experience in healthcare, or demonstrated success if outside of healthcare
