About the Role:

Dow Jones is looking for a Workplace Receptionist who will report directly to the Manager of Workplace Evolution. You will be the face of our HQ office, and will provide an exceptional experience for everyone who comes into contact with our office; employees, clients, and guests alike. You have engaging people skills, strong clerical skills, the ability to multitask, a positive attitude, a willingness to work hard and a commitment to being a team player. You will be onsite at our New York City Office.

You Will:

  • Provide a hospitality-style experience to anyone in our office.
  • You will be the first impression to our headquarters office, conveying the brand and culture of Dow Jones. You will offer the full concierge experience including, but not limited to:
  • Visitor greeting - Welcoming them to Dow Jones
  • Offer to store their jackets, bags, umbrellas
  • Offer coffee/water
  • Escort them to conference rooms (when appropriate)
  • Providing any office directions or assistance requested
  • Contact the Dow Jones visitor's host
  • Aid employees with requests regarding the office, directing them to the appropriate team members of facilities or security when appropriate.
  • Assist with meeting room management and bookings for our in office event space
  • Process visitor registration with the building landlord visitor management portal
  • Assist the Workplace team as needed with reception area events / employee engagements
  • Promote enforcement of basic security protocols, such as displaying corporate identification, and administering, documenting and controlling the visitor management system.
  • Maintain access control system lists within the office to protect sensitive, high-value or critical resources, such as data center or technology storage.
  • Validate deliveries access to the Dow Jones floors.
  • Liaison with building landlord, concierge desk and Security to resolve any visitor-related issues and ensure a safe and secure workplace for employees, contractors and guests.
  • Communicate effectively with the security and safety teams, other Dow Jones teams/organizations at the facility to assure business continuity.
  • Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.

You Have:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant career experience working within a corporate environment.
  • Experience in a large office environment.
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and requests.
  • Strong proficiency with Apple technology and G-Suite.
  • Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with people and partners across all levels within the organization.
  • Customer/client focus, with excellent people skills.
  • Flexibility.
  • Personal computing skills.
  • High school diploma (preferred).
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • AED & CPR (preferred)

Pay Range: $55,000 - $65,000
