This role works closely with the AINA Data Management Team to support our ongoing Data Transformation, with specific responsibility for Data Store leadership in UAT, Problem Solving and Analysis, Stakeholder support, Legacy system decommissions, Quarter Close, Reporting, and related requests to and implementation from Data Governance Committee.

Responsibilities:
• Support test packages related to the data store development by
• Performing initial UAT prior to sending out to users
• Provide notifications and key details to users when test packages are available
• Create personalized views for users to supporting testing requirements
• Work with IT on details related to bug fixes & enhancements
• Perform analysis for items related to process impacts to understand the holistic solution among the Business Unit, Finance, Actuarial, & IT
• Provide Stakeholder Training & Support
• Support the Change Management Plan
• Provide business stakeholder training
• Meet with stakeholders to understand needs and concerns
• Lead weekly drop-in sessions for each data store to discuss progress, upcoming UAT, issues, and concerns
• Lead Requests to and Implementation from DGC
• Analyze and provide feedback to DGC regarding considerations & recommendations related to the data dictionary
• Research and provide all necessary details and documents for data transformation requests and MDM topics presented to the Data Governance Committee (DGC)
• Ensure data store development is aligned with data dictionary definitions
• Reporting
• Review Power BI dashboards and reports to provide changes and feedback, working with the AVP of Data Management to get incorporated
• Support Quarter Close Processes
• Perform final review of data before sending to users
• Send out notifications to users on data availability via Teams channel
• Manage QC Issue Log to make sure proper details are added and items are being reviewed timely
• Provide quarterly statistics on QC Issue Log
• Guide & Support BSAs in data analysis and review efforts
• Resource when they have questions
• Provide test cases for initial review of data
• Suggest solutions and next steps
• Lead Data Store Decommission efforts
• Coordinate and communicate with users on decom process
• Lead training sessions
• Work with ED and ER teams to prioritize any dependent bug fixes and/or enhancements

Skills & Experience: 

  • 7+ years of North American property and casualty insurance industry experience required 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Finance, Accounting or equivalent preferred 
  • Strong analytical and communication skills 
  • Self-driven, organized, goal oriented and able to take full ownership and responsibility for actions 
  • Work independently and with teams depending on tasks and project 
  • Perform in fast-paced, detail-oriented environment   
  • Problem Solver 
  • Knowledge of data-driven processes and technologies  
  • Advanced MS Excel skills 
  • SnowSQL or SQL experience preferred

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$180,571 - $244,301/year

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
