As our Medical Lead - Vaccines, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership for the therapeutic area, including building, coaching, and mentoring the Medical team.

You will provide medical governance and compliance oversight for medical activities. You will also utilize customer insights to provide strategic input into global and regional medical strategy development.
This role ensures medical excellence, compliance, and innovation, while fostering a culture of collaboration, patient-centricity and growth.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a scientific, clinical, and medical content expert for the therapeutic area portfolio

  • Lead the development and execution of the medical strategy managing the therapy area medical activities within their designated scope, timeline and resources through the integration of medical insights

  • Partner with Global and Regional Medical Affairs to develop Medical strategy

  • Partner with Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, and Market Access teams to ensure cohesive strategy and execution, maximizing the impact of medical activities

  • Recruit, coach, and manage Medical Affairs personnel, ensuring focus on priority activities in line with global strategy

  • Support clinical research (company-sponsored, investigator-initiated, and collaborative studies) and leverage real world evidence generation to inform decision-making and enhance the impact of medical activities

  • Ensure the strictest requirements are met particularly with respect to delivery of promotional versus non-promotional information

  • Build peer-to-peer scientific relationships with key external stakeholders to inform strategy, gather insights, and drive scientific exchange 

  • Champion innovation by supporting pipeline progress, fostering digital fluency, and embedding data-driven insights into medical/scientific communications and omnichannel engagement.

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for medical activities, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals

Qualifications:

  • MD, PhD or equivalent in life sciences or relevant field

  • 5 or more years of pharmaceutical industry experience in medical affairs

  • People management and leadership experience

  • Strong digital, analytical, and communication skills; fluency in Greek and English languages

  • Working experience engaging in scientific exchange with external experts

  • Experience in driving innovation, digital transformation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience with the ability to lead change

  • Ability to work in matrix and cross functional teams

  • Strong scientific communication and presentation skills

  • Strong understanding in clinical, medical and pharmaceutical science with the ability to rapidly assimilate specific and detailed knowledge in these areas

  • Significant experience in a role successfully engaging in scientific exchange with external experts

  • Excellent presentation and teaching skills to represent the company in a professional manner at medical, scientific and public events

  • Experience evaluating and effectively communicating evidence-based medicine
