Job Description Summary

The Aeroderivatives Services ITR Engineer leads technical proposal development and engineering execution for conversion, modification, and upgrade (CM&U) projects across GE Vernova’s aeroderivative installed fleet. The role supports the full Inquiry-to-Remittance (ITR) process, including Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) and Order-to-Remittance (OTR), and partners closely with sales, commercial, product management, project management, sourcing, customers, and suppliers. Travel to customer meetings, site surveys, and industry conferences may be required.

Roles and Responsibilities

ITO / Commercial Support

  • Develop clear, accurate technical proposals for aeroderivative CM&U opportunities, ensuring alignment with unit configuration, customer needs, GE Vernova design standards, and quoting limits.
  • Partner with Sales and commercial teams to identify opportunities, engage customers, respond to technical inquiries, and support bid strategy.
  • Present and defend proposal content in internal and customer reviews, with accountability for proposal quality and on-time delivery.
  • Monitor industry, technology, and regulatory trends to help shape new offerings and support customer discussions.
  • Support site surveys and develop practical sales tools, including standards, handbooks, and technical one-pagers, to improve responsiveness and consistency.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on emerging technologies, systems, and components.

OTR / Project Execution

  • Lead technical execution of the mechanical engineering scope for CM&U projects, managing scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, product cost, and reliability.
  • Develop design packages, including models, assemblies, drawings, analyses, layouts, bills of material, and other required technical documentation.
  • Provide project engineering leadership by developing and monitoring engineering schedules and budgets and supporting project managers in integrating customer, partner, and GE Vernova engineering deliverables into the overall project plan.
  • Develop and execute technical strategies to identify and mitigate project risk.
  • Communicate engineering recommendations to internal stakeholders and customers through technical reviews and project meetings.
  • Execute multiple projects of varying size and complexity while meeting quality standards and customer schedules.
  • Provide technical support for installation, start-up, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with GE Vernova policies and procedures, engineering standards, customer specifications, and applicable government and commercial standards.

Lean

  • Apply lessons learned and customer/team feedback to continuously improve engineering standards, processes, and tools.
  • Support cross-functional efforts to develop, standardize, publish, and maintain CM&U handbooks and standard technical write-ups for upgrade offerings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university
  • Experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems related to gas turbines, steam turbines, or other thermal power generation equipment
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally

Desired Characteristics:

  • Gas Power Edison Engineer; Completion of LPX, Teardown Training; Progress toward completion of Engineering Masters degree and/or ACE Certificate
  • Experience leading projects with global, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to influence across functions
  • Experience working in a global matrix organization
  • Strong team collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Background in integrated mechanical/electrical system design and BOM development/management
  • Experience developing technical proposals, budgets, and customer-facing engineering support

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $120,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
