Job Description

The opportunity

We are looking for a high-caliber, strategic individual to be responsible for planning, assessing, and driving strategic initiatives for Financial Advisory channels at Manulife Singapore. The role involves conducting analysis, developing company narratives for internal and external stakeholders, partnering with various functions, and executing key strategic initiatives that drive Manulife’s growth.

The candidate will report to the Head of Distribution Strategy, Financial Advisory, and will work closely across departments within the organization.

In this role you will

  • Identify strategic opportunities within the business and translate complex information into easily understandable and actionable communications for the sales force.

  • Develop performance measures and establish KPIs to ensure the delivery and effectiveness of implemented strategies. Track progress against ambitions and execution, and identify areas for strategic improvement.

  • Align initiatives and roadmap with key stakeholders, working with the delivery team on prioritization, business case gating, and eventually the delivery of the initiative.

  • Establish collaborative and trusting relationships with the business’s key internal leaders and stakeholders to ensure a free flow of ideas and information across the business, leading to suitable strategy formulation and overall business performance enhancement.

  • Draft regular analysis reports for senior strategy management, business leadership, executives, and relevant stakeholders for the purpose of further decision-making.

  • Support the creation and implementation of a communications strategy to streamline information for our sales force.

We are looking for someone with

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science), with at least 10 years of work experience in insurance, finance, management consulting, or a related role.

  • A history of leading communication initiatives and serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership is critical.

  • Intellectual curiosity and a knack for creative, solution-focused problem solving. You must be adaptable and capable of making decisions swiftly, even with incomplete or evolving information.

  • The ability to establish and maintain a robust network of contacts across different functions and regions.

  • Candidates with more experience will be considered for the Director position, and candidates with less experience will be considered for the Senior Manager position.
