How You Will Make an Impact:
As a full time company Welder you will be responsible for delivering excellent results with many different projects using multiple welding techniques and using your skills with reading blue prints.
Responsibilities:
- Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project.
- Sourcing the materials to be used in the project.
- Measuring and cutting materials to specifications.
- Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together.
- Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Knowledge of metallurgy.
- Knowledge of various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding.
- Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques.
- Taking measurements to plan layout and procedures.
- Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Setting up components for welding according to specifications.
- Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.

- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements.
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
- Able to work alone and stay motivated while working in the field or on projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in coordinating system integration with other systems preferred
- Oil and Gas, or Manufacturing and Logistics experience preferred
- Experience troubleshooting various control systems, including analog, digital, serial and Ethernet circuits
- Ability to analyze and/or design business processes end-to-end
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively at both technical and business level
- Strong team player with proven ability to work effectively cross-functionally
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the site/facility.
- Frequently lift 65 lbs. or more.
- Frequently climbs ladders and stairs.
