The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Moderation Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be part of a team assisting in research efforts, the identification of potential data partners, the gathering and cleansing data from various sources, and the standardization of data to accommodate the company’s needs. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in market research and data analysis, while helping the overall business. What you’ll do:

  • Data Review & Validation – Verify athlete, high school, club team, and coach profiles to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Data Updates & Maintenance – Regularly update records based on new information, including transfers, coaching changes, and athlete performance updates.
  • Duplicate & Error Resolution – Identify and merge duplicate records, correct inconsistencies, and ensure data integrity across the platform.
  • Source Verification – Cross-check submitted data with trusted sources (e.g., official team rosters, recruiting databases, social media confirmations).
  • User-Submitted Data Moderation – Review and approve user-submitted data updates while flagging suspicious or incorrect entries for further review.
  • Process Optimization – Identify trends in data issues and suggest improvements to automation or workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams – Work closely with product, engineering, and customer support teams to improve data quality and address reported discrepancies.
  • Reporting & Documentation – Maintain detailed logs of changes, flagging patterns of incorrect data, and helping improve internal data guidelines.

Experience we’re seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a related discipline preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work with data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel.
  • Excited to gain an understanding of data cleansing techniques to ensure data accuracy.
  • Analytical, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and data formatting skills.
  • Results-oriented and committed to meeting or exceeding marketing goals and objectives.
