Senior Engineer, Field Applications (Embedded Software)

Job Description Overview
As a Senior Engineer, Field Applications (Embedded Software), reporting into the North American sales organization, you will primarily be working closely with our field-based engineering team to support and facilitate customer-enablement projects that require various levels of software development. These customer-enablement projects focus on improving the customer experience using ADI products, reducing their development costs, and differentiating ADI’s hardware technologies’ ease-of-use. Examples could include, but are not limited to, demo setups, test tools, proof of concepts, reference code, example “starter” software, implementing custom features/functionality, etc. Secondary responsibilities will include supporting customer software development and debug and collaborating with the internal ADI software teams on their product developments.
The position requires an ability to function as a software subject matter expert that enjoys working autonomously in a dynamic environment with the other members of the sales and field engineering team supporting customers. Industry experience with software fundamentals and best practices is required – with a capability or interest to learn about a variety of software domains and end applications. The ideal candidate has excellent teamwork skills with an ability to communicate effectively both with customers’ and ADI’s internal software teams. Knowledge of industry and automotive-specific software development principles and processes a plus.
