Responsible for providing administrative/clerical duties at a location. Duties include greeting the public, answering questions, providing funeral and cremation information and other related topics, answering phones courteously with a goal to meet or exceed customer expectations. Duties must be performed consistent with company mission, values, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Performs day-to-day administrative duties including but not limited to scheduling meetings, filing, making copies, arranging travel and completing expense reports for management team. 
  • Receives incoming telephone calls and assists callers with any questions or comments, directs calls to appropriate team members.
  • Maintains office and kitchenette supplies as well as fax machines, copiers and network printers positioned for general use within the team.
  • Provides back-up support to specific administrative positions as assigned by management.
  • May serve as Receptionist to greet and receive client families and or other persons entering the office for information and assistance.
  • Assists with research and analysis of budget, time and attendance or other information regarding the team.
  • Provides support in the reporting of reconciliation payments, period end processing, deposit reconciliation, account reconciliation, inventory maintenance of assets.
  • Maintains a friendly attitude offering assistance and guidance to all persons entering the location.

MINIMUM Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • One year office work experience required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective writing, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management and general administration
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, calculators, fax machines, and copy machines
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to multi task and set priorities
  • Detail oriented
  • Professional and team player attitude

Work CONDITIONS                                                                  

Work Environment

  • Work indoors during all seasons and weather conditions
  • Limited local and/or multiple location traveling required
  • Comply with Field dress code policy

Work Postures

  • Sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day
  • Climbing stairs to access buildings frequently

Physical Demands

  • Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, calculators, computers and phone usage
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 10 pounds

Work Hours

  • Working beyond “standard” hours as the need arises
  • Travel less than 10%
