What's exciting about the role

As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to grow our business in Norway. You will oversee a dynamic sales team, drive revenue growth, and ensure that sales targets are met while maintaining strong relationships with key clients. This is a senior leadership role that requires both strategic thinking and hands-on management to maximize market opportunities. You will be part of the local management team in Norway reporting to the Managing Director.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive sales plans tailored to the Norwegian market, focusing on revenue growth, market penetration, and customer retention.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the local sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets. Provide ongoing coaching and support to drive performance. The local sales team consists of Partner Account Managers, Enterprise and SMB inside sales, as well as Sales Support and Retention.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify new business opportunities, manage and expand existing accounts, and ensure the company meets or exceeds its sales goals.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new business initiatives.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners. Act as a trusted advisor to clients and ensure exceptional service delivery. Experience from selling IT solutions to Retail, Hospitality and to partners will be an advantage.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, finance, etc.) to align sales efforts with business objectives.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular sales performance updates, forecasts, and insights to senior management. Track sales KPIs and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Brand Representation: Act as a company ambassador in the Norwegian market, promoting the company’s values, culture, and products.

Skills and Experience we desire

  • Proven experience (minimum 7-10 years) in a sales leadership role, ideally within the payments industry, from Point-of-Sale vendors, provider of IT solutions and services or Telecom with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong experience in managing and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of the Norwegian market, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English (both written and spoken) is required.
