We are searching for the best talent for a Director of Marketing to join our JJMT Surgery Canada team.  This position is based in Markham, Ontario, Canada. 

Purpose:

The Director of Marketing, JJMT Surgery Canada is a transformational leadership role, accountable for elevating customer impact, brand strength, and sustainable growth across the Canadian market.

This leader sets the ambition for what marketing delivers in Canada—and how it is delivered—by combining strategic clarity, commercial rigor, and people‑first leadership. The role translates global vision into locally relevant, customer‑centric execution, ensuring JJMT’s marketing efforts create meaningful value for patients, clinicians, and healthcare systems while driving measurable business outcomes.

As the senior marketing leader in Canada, the Director operates as a general manager of the marketing function, orchestrating multiple platforms into a single, integrated engine for growth. The role partners closely with Sales, Product, and Global Marketing leaders to sharpen focus, accelerate demand, strengthen execution, and build long‑term competitive advantage.

Success in this role requires a leader who inspires high performance, builds deep capability, and challenges conventional thinking—balancing long‑term brand and customer value with near‑term commercial performance. Through disciplined execution, bold prioritization, and trusted leadership, the Director ensures marketing is a defining force behind JJMT Canada’s growth, reputation, and impact.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead and develop a high performing, accountable platform-based marketing organization.
  • Oversees strategic initiatives for the marketing area and streamline operations and marketing activities.
  • Facilitates open communication and strengthens industry relationships and maximizes the impact of the marketing plan.
  • Advises senior management on Strategic Marketing initiatives and serves as an expert on marketing strategy and campaign issues.
  • Develops methods for strategic analyses and monitors dashboards to track marketing metrics.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of marketing techniques to drive initiatives that improve customer loyalty, trust, and awareness of products and services.
  • Consults with leaders on critical business issues and identifies opportunities for process improvements.
  • Audits department processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance to organizational standards.
  • Leads Marketing team in leveraging industry trends to help shape effective marketing strategies.
  • Guides marketing team through consultation, mentoring, and collaborative leadership to build depth of capability, and provides functional (matrix) supervision.
  • Proactively creates a purpose driven environment by aligning Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives with the strategies and goals of the team and enterprise

Qualifications:

Experience & Education:

  • University degree is required, preferably in Business or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years business work experience.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years commercial leadership experience.
  • Proven success managing multi-platform marketing is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people development experience.
  • Strong B2B and/or complex B2C experience (industry dependent).
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and brand performance.
  • Experience working in global and local, matrixed organizations.
  • Distinguished expert individual contributor and organizational thought leader.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

The expected base pay range for this position is $131,000 to $225,975 CAD.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
