About the Role

BU underwriting Leader, manage the underwrite support team in accordance with company policies and requirements, and meet KPIs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Overall U&I performance management

- Manage BU U&I performance in order to ensure U&I service standard and risk management

1. Oversee BU U&I quality and key performance indicators;

2. Implement and execute AIA China standard U&I rules & guideline;

3. Coordinate issues on U&I with related parties;

4. Mentor U&I support and manage training on them;

5. Responsible for the anti-money laundering work of the underwriting team;

6. Trace and analyze local U&I trend and data;

7. Manage various aspects of online U/W consultations ;

8. Other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Team management and communicate with other parties

- Manage the whole department and work with other department on the tasks which involve claims

1. In charge of people development, performance appraisal and recruitment ;

2. Review, study, comment and reply the regulation / audit/ requirement from regulator or external( internal) auditor;

3. Conduct report on U&I;

4. Support sales channel on U&I training and other support to meet business;

5. Liaise and cooperate with CHO on U&I  tasks .

Minimum Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above; preference given to candidates with a background in medicine or insurance;
2. At least 5 years of underwriting experience and team management experience in financial or insurance institutions;
3. Strong management and organizational skills, as well as effective problem-solving abilities;
4. Excellent communication skills; diligent, responsible, highly accountable, and resilient under pressure;
5. Strong training capabilities;
6. Proficient in MS Office software.
