Position Summary

The Outside Sales Development Associate is responsible for engaging in lead generation and qualification activities, resulting in viable new sales opportunities within designated regions.  This person will be a member of a market-based team, working in partnership with the Inside Sales Development Associate and Sales Executive, and will be responsible for qualifying opportunities to accelerate growth, as well as for sustaining performance in high-potential markets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads that contribute to pipeline development, specifically aligned to respective budgets, as measured by key performance indicators (KPI’s) within market team structure; accomplished by completing in-person cold visits and leveraging other communications media. 
  • Leverage the Omnicare Value Proposition and execute initial Needs and Discovery Meetings with prospects, in order to further qualify self-sourced and referred leads. 
  • Ensure quality pipeline expansion by providing appropriate sales materials and strategy, in an effort to support positive client interface during needs and discovery through closing.
  • Contribute to market team objectives by exceeding required activity and sales results, actively participating in market team pipeline reviews.
  • Record prospect information and maintain database (SFDC) by obtaining, entering, and verifying required data.
  • Performing other duties as needed.
     

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, particularly selling a service.
  • Working knowledge of computers, specifically Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Willingness to work Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm Pacific Standard Time, with the occasional ability to work evenings & weekends.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time in the United States, primarily in the West Coast region.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in long-term care.
  • Resides in Oregon, Washington, or northern California, as well as Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, southern California, or Nevada.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven to exceed both personal and team sales goals.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience with Salesforce.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • High school diploma or GED.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $89,199.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
