JOB SCOPE & PURPOSE

The Account Executive is responsible for managing and coordinating agency resources to ensure that account needs are met. He/she acts as the daily internal contact and ensures that all projects for which he/she is responsible are completed on time, on specification, within scope, and on budget, while providing completed planning and documentation. The Account Executive ensures that support, information, and knowledge needed from the competencies are provided.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Fulfills daily client and internal team requests, ensuring that all projects assigned are executed to plan
  • Develops and maintains proficiency with Targetbase tools and processes
  • Keeps account team updated on the status of account activities; produces communication materials (contact and status reports, etc.) for both internal and external teams
  • Gathers database-related work specifications from client and/or team members; provides concise and appropriate written specifications on inputs, outputs, internal processes, and quality assurance measures to the appropriate functional groups 
  • Coordinates with other team members to monitor ongoing progress, makes adjustments when required, proactively identifies project issues/problems, assists in issue/problem resolution, and provides updates
  • Acts as internal contact for account needs 
  • Builds and maintains a thorough understanding of the client’s business and competitive environment; routinely contributes to competitive tracking projects
  • Develops a positive and partnering relationship with all team members
  • Oversees the accuracy and quality of agency product; assists with quality assurance and provides final sanity check for project deliverables
  • Tracks and reconciles costs posted to the billing system and handles revenue forecasting at the project level
  • Schedules and leads project status meetings, including preparation of meeting agendas and documenting status
  • Assists with building a positive culture

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a client service role in an agency/professional services firm
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Marketing, or Communications is preferred

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY

  • Knowledge of the latest trends in the industry
  • General understanding of relational database technology and CRM principles/applications
  • General understanding of the creative and production process
  • Strong client service orientation

  • Able to write and communicate effectively
  • Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to multitask and set priorities

  • Able to assist in the design of presentations

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Overtime as necessary
  • Travel as necessary

 

We work a hybrid schedule.  3 days in office and 2 days working from home.  Candidates must local to the DFW area and willing to be onsite in the office 3 days a week.
