Responsibilities:

• Incumbents work with large and complex data sets (both internal and external data) to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies
• Identifies and compiles data sets using a variety of tools (e.g. SQL, Access) to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business to business outcomes
• Responsible for documenting data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning, and exploratory data analysis; which may include utilizing statistical models / algorithms and data visualization techniques
• Incumbents in this role may often be referred to as Data Scientists
• Specialization in marketing, risk, digital and AML fields possible
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of experience
• Working experience in a quantitative field, Financial/Credit Card industry
• Must have Demonstrated ability in data retrieving and manipulation as well as proficient analytical skills
• Excellent analytic ability and problem solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including excellent MS Excel skills to develop analytic presentations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented, and adaptive to matrix work environment

Education:

• Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Team/Role Overview

 

The Markets Intelligence team has three main areas of opportunity:

Quote Automation works on using Machine Learning/NLP to read Client & Broker chats by:

• Ingesting Client and Broker chats where financial products are quoted and traded
• Building Machine Learning / NLP models for structuring data objects
• Deploying low-latency, automation solutions for Sales and Trading workflow

SalesBOT works on developing a GenAI/LLM solution for daily tasks by:

• Build Front end and pipelines to synthesized information for Sales
• Designs Chatbot scripts, and user interactions across platforms
• Integrate datasets, APIs and MQA functions

Sales Analytics helps Product and Regional Sales to develop:

• Client Value rules of the road review and challenge
• Productivity measures definition and validation
• Client Wallets submission and replay to Sales

 

This role has a Global footprint and will have significant impact in terms of influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others across the broader Markets organization. It requires collaboration with various teams within Markets to align, coordinate, challenge and implement results.

 

What you’ll do

This role will require utilizing next gen data science techniques, or advanced data analytics for practical business applications.

 

• Interfaces with subject matter experts to understand processes and their end products
• Source and collate data to build use cases and perform exploratory analysis to validate usability
• Create and deliver executive, high-impact output which directly improves the business, and communicate clearly through demos and presentations

 

What we’ll need from you

The preferred candidate is a self-starter who can work to solve complex financial and analytical problems.

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM/Finance
• Demonstrable knowledge of Financial Markets products
• Experience with python for analytics, or object orientated coding
• Highly effective communicator, able to interact with stakeholders
• Sound logical thinking, good attitude / work ethics
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
