Job Description


Project Associates participate in the achievement of a project's objectives as an active member of the project team. The project associate centrally manages and facilitates project activities and data tracking to enhance project data quality and process consistency. He/she supports the project manager workload by supporting the overall project management process. This role in project management provides a great learning opportunity for those newer to the discipline looking for a career path in project management.

What you will do:

  • Complete project documentation and facilitate project management processes on behalf of, and working with, project managers

  • Participate in development of charter and management plan. Recommend tradeoffs within projects and support project activities.

  • Participate in the development of and execute tasks within pre-defined project scope.  Alert manager of scope excursions.

  • Complete assigned tasks according to established timeline. Assist in the development of a detailed project Gantt chart. 

  • Participate in the development of the budget and identify the cost of upcoming project expenditures. Aid in the management of project financials throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Participate in the development of Quality Project Planning and Execution.

  • Support the creation and management of a project risk and issue register. Identify and analyze project risks and assist in developing a risk response plan.

  • Participate in the development of a Procurement Management Plan.

  • Participate in the development of a project team list with cross-functional staffing requirements.

  • Support the creation of a Stakeholder register and assist in the preparation of a Stakeholder management plan.

  • Participate in the development of a project communications management plan.

  • Manage project management tools and supporting sites

  • Provide regular and ad hoc reporting of detailed project data

  • Experience with project planning and scheduling

  • Highly organized, possessing strong analytical abilities

What you need:
• BS or equivalent and 2+ years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):
• CAPM or equivalent preferred

Travel Percentage: 10%
