General Description:

The IT Project Coordinator provides a wide range of support activities to the IT Project Management Office.  Responsible for tracking specific phases of multiple projects on a regular basis, including schedules, project materials, communications and more. Prepares and maintains project documentation for the teams.  Monitors project plans and organizes project activities to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.

  • Assists project managers in the administration and coordination of multiple projects.

  • Updates and maintains project templates to track the progress of various projects, measure deliverables and completion of tasks.

  • Provide support by researching related subjects for various projects.

  • Communicate with necessary internal departments to obtain information needed for various projects.

  • Keep project team updated with any relevant changes, ensure all documentation is maintained and completed.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiencies.

  • May have responsibility over smaller a scale project or project work package.

General Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:  Bachelors in Information Technology or Business required.

Experience:   2 or more years of professional work experience in IT or Healthcare required.  2 or more years of experience in Project/Process Management preferred.  Experience in Healthcare is preferred.

OR equivalent combination of education and experience

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) within 24 months of hire. May choose the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in place of the CAPM (if qualified by PMI) - the time frame does not change.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of department/field

  • Good organizational and coordinating skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Oral communication skills sufficient to gather information and relay project information to a wide audience

  • Written communication skills sufficient to create project plans and other project documentation

  • Establishes effective working relationships at the work group level.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. Strong influence skills and ability to motivate others.

  • Demonstrated technology and healthcare acumen.

  • Must be a strategic thinker, self-motivated and have excellent problem solving and project management skills

  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priority deliverables

  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office tools
