Job Profile Summary:

Receives and processes orders for materials and merchandise.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilizes order tracking and CRM systems to process orders, record prices, delivery dates, inventory status, maintain customer information and other data related to each transaction.
• Confirms orders, updates shipping status, and notifies customers of any backorder or delivery delays.
• Researches and resolves order errors and updates the system.
• Prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation.
• Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.
• Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
• No experience necessary
• English proficiency (e.g., reading, writing, speaking, listening)
• Computer literate with proficient use of software and/or computer programs (MS Office)
• Ability to prepare written documents and communications to customer and / or leadership team.
• Must be able to continually respond to and prioritize within a fluid work environment.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

• 1+ year of general work experience
• Interpersonal skills (e.g., customer service, dependability)

Physical Requirements:

• Lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds
• Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.
• Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
• The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
