The Role:

Hiscox is hiring a NetSec Engineer to work within our  Enterprise Technology infrastructure team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Product Owner in constructing a backlog (user stories/technical requirements)
• Work with Agile Delivery Lead in providing proper estimation of work and help in delivering the work in a timely manner
• Be an integral part of the squad and act as the go to person for networking and security requirements
• Consume and understand technical requirements and contribute to / challenge the design before executing any work
• Document the work being executed and provide handover to BAU team for day to day operations
• Collaborate with engineers, testers, and other team members for migration work , DR tests etc including working out of hours where applicable
• Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing

Person Specification: 

Essential skills

• Azure networking (NSG , VNet peering , Route Table , Private Link /Endpoint, Load balancer)
• GCP networking (NCC , HA VPN , VPC Network , Routers )
• Deployment , migration and support experience of Azure vWAN Hub and Palo Alto Cloud NGFW
• Build VPNs with other cloud providers and appliances
• Deployment of Advanced Threat Protection features like Antivirus , Antispyware , Vulnerability protection ,  URL filtering , file blocking and Wildfire in addition to firewall rules
• Azure DNS
• Infoblox DDI
• Expressroute and VNET gateways

Desirable 

• Infrastructure as Code Management - Terraform , GIT , ADO
