The Team:

The Global Data Delivery and Innovation team within the Commodity Insights division is focused on developing and managing advanced data delivery solutions for the upstream oil and gas market. Operating primarily across our Canadian and US offices, joining our team offers the opportunity to thrive in a collaborative, innovative environment while expanding your technical expertise to better serve and delight our customers.

Impact:

In this role, you will contribute to the delivery and technical solution initiatives within the Global Data Delivery and Innovation team. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a range of technologies and platforms, applying data analysis and data management skills to tackle unique and complex challenges.This role offers valuable experience and the chance to develop new skills in a dynamic industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, working closely with senior team members to understand project requirements and deliverables.
  • Be a self-starter with the desire to learn new technologies, platforms, industry domain knowledge and business processes.
  • Continue to enhance existing technical data delivery solutions through your ability to read, write, and maintain code.
  • Identify and assist in opportunities to improve process efficiencies and troubleshoot data challenges and processes.
  • Support technology design and re-design activities through clarification and documentation of business requirements, processes, business rules, and downstream and upstream impacts of proposed changes.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Junior-level professional with relevant post-secondary technical education experience.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, optimizing ETL performance, and programming in languages including C#, SQL, and Python.
  • Experience working with databases including creating and managing database tables, views, and stored procedures.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in both autonomous and team settings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passionate and proactive, with a drive to exceed expectations and take initiative.
  • Experience working in SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and understand data models and entity-relationship diagrams to support data-driven solutions.
