I. INSTRUCTION
1. Deliver assigned classes using pedagogy and technology that best support student learning, and in accordance with college loading policy, course objectives and program learning outcomes.
2. Develop and maintain curriculum and supporting course materials in keeping with and furtherance of course objectives and program learning outcomes.
3. Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and other documentation as required. Manage a classroom environment conducive to student learning and in adherence to federal, state, and college safety standards and practices.
4. Facilitate student achievement of expected program learning outcomes.
5. Use Learning Management System (e.g. Blackboard) to facilitate teaching, learning, assessment and communication.

INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT
This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction, faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 as applicable to the specific area of instruction.
From ASOM 7.1:
Associate of Science Degree in Nursing (ASN) and Practical Nursing (PN) Program Faculty Standard:
A full- or part-time faculty member in the ASN or PN program must meet all of the following criteria:
-Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse and,
-Possesses a current, unencumbered Indiana Registered Nurse license, and
-The majority of faculty shall hold master’s degrees in nursing.
Please Note: Faculty with Bachelor’s degrees in nursing must meet ALL of the following requirements:
-Within one semester of initial appointment, must have a written academic plan of study for completion of a Master’s degree in nursing, and
-Provides ongoing documentation (each semester) demonstrating matriculation towards completion of a Master’s degree in nursing, and
-Continued employment of a person who does not hold a Master’s degree in nursing shall be contingent upon documented progress towards their approved academic plan.
Salary: The minimum salary for the role at the Instructor (F-2) rank is $60,000 for a nine-month contract. Faculty rank and salary are determined by education and experience. Summer contracts are dependent on enrollment. This is an exempt position.
