Why this role is important?
Senior Manager, Pharmacist-Led Chronic Disease Management
In this role, you will be accountable for designing, implementing and managing programs to support our overall growth strategy in chronic conditions with a focus on Diabetes care.
You will support the day-to-day management of testing programs across the country; liaising with cross-functional teams to build and manage valuable pharmacy services for patients. You will take the lead on developing comprehensive care offerings that speak to the unique needs of patients with chronic conditions (primarily Diabetes). Across these priorities, you will work collaboratively with teams to understand and address the unique needs of our patients to improve their experience, health outcomes, and market share. Reporting to the Director, Pharmacist-Led Chronic Disease Management, this role will be instrumental in transforming how Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaw pharmacies are viewed in consumers’ minds as a leader in chronic disease care.
What You'll Do:
Design, implement and manage comprehensive care offerings for patients with chronic conditions (primarily Diabetes)
Support development and day-to-day management of chronic disease management programs
Work closely with Operations and other internal stakeholders for enablement of enhancements and to ensure safe and efficient service delivery. This includes overseeing system set up, pricing strategy, development of practice and communications tools
Proactively work with stakeholders and partners to expand program reach, value and consumer consideration
Manage the ongoing business reporting and financial updates for your portfolio to key stakeholders and the Executive team
Work closely with Professional Affairs to maintain updated regulations relating to pharmacy services by province and implementing the requirements in future programs
Work closely with technology partners to bring the necessary tools and technology required to support future programs
What You'll Need:
University degree in Business, Healthcare, Finance or Marketing; MBA or equivalent Master degree is an asset
5-8 years of relevant Healthcare / Pharmacy experience; experience in pharmacy service programs preferred
Experience working in a regulated environment and collaborating with Legal, Regulatory and Professional Affairs teams and processes
Proven capacity to drive results without authority and ability to build collaborative relationships cross-functionally; actively engaging and influencing internal and external stakeholders
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interpret and present results (both written and verbal) in an engaging, meaningful way for internal users
A creative thinker who is comfortable working with ambiguity, ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and work in a fast- paced environment
Provides solutions by using imaginative approaches where constructive thinking and innovation are required
Knowledge in financial analysis and modeling; ability to build financial business cases and reporting / analytics capabilities is an asset
Extremely proficient in the use of Power Point, Excel, Word
