  • Project Description:
    SCCM/MECM Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Endpoint Management

    Job Summary
    The Senior SCCM SME is responsible for the enterprise-wide design, deployment, and optimization of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM). The role provides strategic guidance, advanced troubleshooting, and ensures compliance, software delivery, and OS deployment across all endpoints.
  • Responsibilities:

    Key Responsibilities

    1. SCCM Architecture & Governance
    • Design, implement, and maintain SCCM hierarchy: Primary/Secondary sites, Distribution Points, Management Points, and Software Update Points.
    • Define and enforce SCCM policies, standards, and operating procedures.
    • Monitor site health and client status; proactively resolve issues.
    • Maintain boundaries, collections, and client settings for optimized performance.
    • Perform regular SCCM site backup and disaster recovery validation.

    2. Patch Management & Compliance
    • Plan and execute enterprise patching strategies for Windows, Office, and third-party applications.
    • Configure, test, and deploy Automatic Deployment Rules (ADRs) and Compliance Baselines.
    • Monitor compliance reports and remediate non-compliant endpoints.
    • Collaborate with IT Security to align patching with corporate security policies.

    3. Software Deployment & Application Packaging
    • Package, test, and deploy applications across enterprise endpoints using SCCM task sequences.
    • Automate deployments with PowerShell scripts and advanced SCCM techniques.
    • Resolve software deployment issues, including application conflicts and installation failures.
    • Maintain software inventory, including license tracking and reporting.

    4. Operating System Deployment (OSD)
    • Manage Windows OS imaging, boot images, driver packages, and task sequences.
    • Lead in-place upgrades, bare-metal deployments, and device refresh cycles.
    • Optimize OSD workflows to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
    • Maintain a library of standardized enterprise images aligned with IT standards.

    5. Reporting & Analytics
    • Develop advanced SQL queries and SSRS reports for inventory, compliance, deployment, and patch status.
    • Provide actionable insights from SCCM data to drive endpoint strategy.
    • Track KPIs such as patch compliance rate, deployment success rate, and client health metrics.
  • Mandatory Skills Description:
    Required Skills & Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • 4+ years of experience in SCCM/MECM administration and architecture
    • Expert knowledge of SCCM hierarchy, client deployment, site maintenance, and task sequences
    • Proficient in Windows OS, Active Directory, WSUS, networking, and endpoint security
    • Advanced SQL and SSRS reporting skills
    • PowerShell scripting expertise for automation and troubleshooting
    • Proven track record in enterprise software deployment, patch management, and OS deployment
    Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

    • Experience with enterprise software packaging tools (AdminStudio, WiseStudio, App-V)
    • Experience with monitoring tools for large SCCM infrastructures
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for large-scale deployments
