As of October 15, 2024 Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 1 day a week, while spending the other 4 days in the office.

Shoppers Drug Mart Specialty Health Network supports our retail stores to provide the best patient care to patients who require specialty drugs. We provide patient support programs for specialty drug therapies, providing physicians with resources to manage their patients, facilitating reimbursement, and enhancing patient compliance. We deliver superior customer service to patients, healthcare providers and pharmaceutical manufacturers to improve healthcare outcomes for all stakeholders.

Job Overview:

Reporting into the Program Manger, SHN is looking to hire a Winter Student within our Department of Specialty Programs. Within the business unit, the Student will have the opportunity to support Patient Support Programs and gain valuable experience by working on special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Manager and Senior Manager. The Student will effectively manage all assigned tasks and responsibilities within the required timelines. This individual will have the opportunity to integrate their knowledge and skills into a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day program needs through collaboration with the Program Manager and Senior Program Manager
  • Work with the Patient Operations department to manage and facilitate program requirements and file/data cleanups
  • Provide essential support across the business unit pertaining to new client initiatives.
  • Assist with new program launches
  • Review current program flows, guides and update accordingly
  • Report all Adverse Events (AE) and Product Technical Complaints (PTC) immediately or as soon as possible upon becoming aware of the event as per current policies and procedures
  • Conduct program Self Inspections
  • Performing ad-hoc tasks as required depending on operational needs arising

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Currently enrolled in relevant degree/diploma program
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all relevant Specialty Health Network teams
  • Attention to detail along with strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms is an asset (Salesforce)
  • Highly motivated professional who demonstrates strong initiative and is capable of leading projects independently
  • The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset, consistently seeking out ways to improve areas of opportunities
  • Previous reimbursement, customer service, or clinical experience are assets
