The Corporate Security Officer role is responsible for the overall safety and security of the facility. This is an hourly position with an anticipated hourly rate between $21 - $23.00/hour.
Responsibilities -
The primary responsibilities of the role are:
- Follow established safety and security protocols. Work alongside HR and Management to ensure the safety and security of Ecentria’s employees, worksite, and products.
- Fulfill duties associated with the post assigned as part of the facility’s comprehensive security plan; maintain an orderly post and remain at the post at all times unless otherwise directed by a supervisor.
- Monitor CCTV and maintain camera logs for review. Report unusual activity or safety issues to the Supervisor or Manager in a timely fashion.
- Complete proper documentation related to incident reports, shift logs and security paperwork.
- Monitor facility grounds and entrances to ensure only authorized personnel and authorized visitors access the facility; if assigned to the main entrance, ensure all guests follow visitor protocol and triage visitor requests
- Screen employees and contractors with magnetometers entering and leaving the facility. Check for weapons, indicators of intoxication, and unauthorized persons entering the facilities. On the way out check for concealed/stolen merchandise.
- Investigate suspicious activity, both inside and outside of buildings
- Serve as point of contact for police, fire, or medical personnel as needed.
- Engage with visitors, employees, and contractors to maintain a safe and secure environment. Detect and deter problems before situations become dangerous.
- Actively participate in professional development training to ensure ongoing growth and to advance skills.
- Conduct new-hire security orientation, ID access badge issuance, programing, locker assignments as directed.
- Perform security responsibilities associated with product transfers between warehouse and store/other sites as directed.
- Patrol on foot looking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, open doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits. Responds to incidents related to safety, security, and personnel issues.
- Other security-related duties, as assigned by management.
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements -
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of prior corporate security experience
- Must be available for weekend and holiday shifts as requested
- Previous experience with technology systems utilized for facility security (Electronic visitor management, CCTV, Access Control) or related experience preferred
- Previous experience in law enforcement, corrections, government security or relevant military or equivalent preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality.
- The ability to communicate with others effectively and diplomatically, generally, and particularly in stressful situations.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Must be able to perform position duties outdoors in uncontrolled climate conditions including extreme cold and heat as needed.
- Ability to push, pull, carry, and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, twist, turn, bend, climb stairs, manual dexterity, and walking required, for entire shift duration or up 12 hours.
- You must be a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Compensation-
- This is an hourly position with an anticipated hourly pay rate between $21 - $23.00/hour.
- This position is a full-time, non-exempt position.
